I am obviously a little biased, considering my employment with the firm responsible for this design, but I am pretty sure that this may be the best lake home ever made! Before I get to the pictures of the finished product, here is a link to the plan. Bob Harris of RLH Construction, LLC. is responsible for building this masterpiece. As you enter 5,700 sq. ft. home, you immediately look through the vaulted-ceiling Lake Viewing Room out onto the water of Alabama’s pristine Lake Martin. An open kitchen is nestled just inside the home, allowing the homeowner to entertain friends while taking full advantage of the spectacular views. A master and guest suite are both located just off the main living area of the home. To allow the 2-car carport to fit on the lot, and blend into the house, an octagonal stone turret with attached covered porch act as a pivot point between it and the main house. Both interior and exterior (located in the turret) stairs lead to the second floor, containing three additional bedroom suites and a recreation room over the garage. The exterior facade is finished with a perfect mix of natural stone and cedar, with ample covered and screened porch areas to enjoy the lake all year long.
